The running exploits of Michigan State star running back Kenneth Walker III left Michigan on the wrong end of a 33-37 loss in a matchup of top-10 teams.

ESPN college football analyst David Pollack still has high hopes for both the Spartans and Wolverines. Following the game, Pollack admitted his feelings on Michigan remain the same after a dramatic contest in East Lansing:

With 197 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns from Walker, Michigan State (8-0, 5-0 Big Ten) battled back to down the Wolverines and remain undefeated overall and in league play. The 5th-ranked Spartans moved up three spots in the AP Top 25 heading into next Saturday’s game against Purdue (5-3, 3-2). The Boilermakers are coming off a 28-23 win over Nebraska.

The loss was the first of the season for Michigan (7-1, 4-1). The 9th-ranked Wolverines, who dropped three spots in the AP Top 25, plays Indiana (2-6, 0-5) next Saturday hoping to avenge last season’s stunning loss to the Hoosiers. Indiana has lost four straight games.
