There’s nothing like a good old fashioned in-state rivalry to finish off the regular season. Bragging rights will be on the line between Indiana and Purdue.

Indiana has more wins than it did last season, but is still going to miss out on a bowl game this year at 4-7. The Hoosiers could play the spoiler if they can find a way to beat Purdue and avenge last season’s loss.

The two teams did not play in 2020, but last season Purdue won by a score of 44-7.

Purdue on the other hand, must win this game to keep its hopes of a B1G West title alive. If Iowa loses to Nebraska then Purdue would clinch a spot in the B1G title game with a win. The Boilermakers are currently second in the division behind the Hawkeyes at 7-4.

The Football Power Index thinks that Purdue will be taking home the Old Oaken Bucket once again. The Boilermakers have a 71.5% chance to win compared to Indiana’s 28.5%.

Both teams are coming off of wins heading into the game. Purdue beat Northwestern 17-9, while Indiana shocked Michigan State in double overtime 39-31.

There will either be an “I” or a “P” added to the Old Oaken Bucket on Saturday. Kickoff from Bloomington will be at 3:30 p.m. ET on BTN.
