ESPN’s FPI has updated its prediction for who will win the B1G East. Only two undefeated teams are left in the B1G, Ohio State and Michigan.

Penn State lost to Michigan 41-17 on Saturday. It’s looking like the Ohio State and Michigan are favored by the FPI now. Ohio State had a bye in Week 7, but has looked just as dominant even with its injuries. After the Buckeyes and Wolverines, the chances drop off severely.

Purdue has the third highest odds after Minnesota lost to Illinois. The Boilermakers won a shootout against Nebraska 43-37. Mickey Joseph is now 2-2 as interim HC, and Jeff Brohm has Purdue sitting in 2nd place in the B1G West at 5-2.

Here’s how the B1G championship FPI predictions are looking after Week 7:

  • Ohio State – 64.8%
  • Michigan – 23.3%
  • Purdue – 5.5%
  • Illinois – 4.6%

Ohio State’s odds of taking home the B1G title went down slightly from Week 6. Illinois knocked Minnesota out of the top 5 after beating them 26-14. The Fighting Illini and Boilermakers should be the teams to watch from the B1G West now.

All the other B1G schools who were not mentioned also had percentages lower than one.
