ESPN's FPI predicts outcome of Michigan State vs. Ohio State in Week 11
ESPN’s FPI is not predicting Ohio State’s unbeaten season to come to an end in Week 11.
This weekend, the Buckeyes will welcome Michigan State to Columbus for another B1G East showdown. Ohio State has dominated the series in recent history, and Ryan Day’s program is once again a major favorite for Saturday.
Heading into the game, Ohio State is a 31.5-point favorite at home, and the FPI backs up that assessment. The system gives the Buckeyes a 97.9% chance of coming out on top and moving to 10-0. Fans can get in on the odds with the use of the DraftKings Ohio promo code.
While Mark Dantonio made this series competitive during his time as MSU’s head coach, the Buckeyes have won 7 straight and 6 straight in convincing fashion. Last season, Ohio State rolled to a 49-20 win in East Lansing.
The matchup does not set up favorably for the Spartans who continue to move forward under interim coach Harlon Barnett. While Michigan State did beat Nebraska last week, the team has struggled to find consistency on either side of the ball.
As for Ohio State, the defense of the Buckeyes could feast at home against an overmatch MSU offense with a pair of inexperienced QBs leading that group. The Ohio State offense will also get a shot to get on track early in the matchup.
