ESPN’s FPI is back with more game predictions for the Week 9 slate of college football. In the B1G, that includes Ohio State vs. Wisconsin in a matchup of historically strong programs.

The two teams have met 3 times since Ryan Day took over the Buckeyes, including a 2022 matchup in Columbus. Ohio State has won all 3 of those games and still dominates the all-time series with a 62-18-5 mark against Wisconsin.

As for Saturday’s game, the FPI is favoring the Buckeyes in a major way for the first matchup against former OSU player and assistant Luke Fickell leading the Badgers. The FPI gives Ohio State an 88.2% chance at a win in Madison with the Buckeyes entering the game as a 14.5-point favorite on the road. Fans can take part in that action by using the Caesars Ohio promo code.

As for the matchup on Saturday, the Buckeyes have the edge on either side of the ball. Ohio State is averaging 431.9 yards of offense per game and is allowing just 260.1 yards and 10 points per game.

Wisconsin also enters the game without starting QB Tanner Mordecai and redshirt freshman Braedyn Locke leading the offense. The Badgers have struggled offensively of late with 25 points or less in 3 straight games.

A lot of attention will undoubtedly be on Fickell for this game due to his connections to Ohio State, but the head coach of Wisconsin tried to deflect as much as possible during his weekly press conference. Now, we’ll see how his Badgers fare in a major showdown Saturday.
