ESPN’s FPI is predicting Rutgers has a 54 percent chance of knocking off host Northwestern.

Rutgers is coming off a 31-13 defeat vs. Michigan State. Rutgers has lost to Michigan, Ohio State, and Michigan State in conference play.

Northwestern was routed 56-7 by host Nebraska last week. In B1G play, Northwestern has been defeated by Michigan State and Nebraska.

Rutgers leads the all-time series 3-1 vs. Northwestern. The last meeting between the two was an 18-15 road victory by Northwestern in 2018. Rutgers’ last win vs. Northwestern was at home in 1991.

Rutgers at Northwestern is slated for Oct. 16 (12 p.m. EST) and will be televised on the B1G Network.
