It is not often a series becomes as one-sided as the Penn State-Indiana all-time series, but the on-field competition has become increasingly tight over the past couple of seasons.

Historically, Penn State is 22-1 all-time against Indiana with the lone win by the Hoosiers coming in 2013. That gives the Nittany Lions six straight wins in the series, though the past two years have been no cakewalk.

In 2019, James Franklin’s squad spoiled the upset bid of Tom Allen’s Hoosiers in a hard-fought 34-27 win. Many people apparently remember that game with the Nittany Lions entering the season opener as just a 6.5-point favorite.

For Penn State, the team will also be dealing with the absences of Journey Brown and Micah Parsons, two key contributors from last season. But even if the game is a close one, ESPN’s Football Power Index is still predicting the Nittany Lions to have a 73.7% chance of taking down the Hoosiers.

Saturday’s kickoff is set for 3:30 pm EST on FS1.
