Ohio State continues to cruise offensively. After a 21-10 win over Notre Dame to open the 2022 season, Ryan Day’s team has outscored their last 3 opponents 174-54, including a 45-12 win over Arkansas State, a 77-21 rout of Toledo, and a 52-21 triumph over Wisconsin to start B1G play.

Next up for the Buckeyes is Rutgers at Ohio Stadium, the last of 5 straight games a the Horseshoe to start the season. The B1G East foes are meeting for the 9th time, with the Buckeyes winning the previous 8 matchups.

And those matchups haven’t been remotely close, either: Ohio State has scored 49 or more points each time it has played Rutgers, with its slimmest margin of victory, 22 points, set in 2020 (49-27). Outside of that, the Buckeyes have beaten the Scarlet Knights by 35 points or more in each outing.

Meanwhile, Rutgers is 3-1, beating Boston College, FCS Wagner, and a 2-2 Temple team by 2 points that has wins over UMass and FCS Lafayette.

Understandably, ESPN’s FPI projects more of the same for the Buckeyes on Saturday, putting their chances of victory at 98.3 percent.

Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on the Big Ten Network.
