ESPN’s FPI predicts the outcome of Oregon-Michigan State B1G clash
The Oregon Ducks are finally starting to resemble the team that everybody thought they were in the preseason and will look to continue that at home against Michigan State.
Naturally, ESPN’s Football Power Index is weighing in with what it thinks will happen. The FPI is giving the Ducks a 92.5% chance to win this game. That means ESPN doesn’t think the Spartans have much of a chance to win at only 7.5% probability.
The new B1G rivals will collide in a 9:00 p.m. ET kickoff from Autzen Stadium with the game being aired on Fox on Friday night. Michigan State had to go up against Ohio State on Saturday, and it doesn’t get any easier with the road trip to Eugene.
Spartans quarterback Aidan Chiles has been up-and down this year, and has really struggled turning the ball over. He has thrown for 1,058 yards, 5 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.
Oregon had all these expectations entering the season, but really struggled in its first 2 games. However, the Ducks have started to play much better. In their win against UCLA on Saturday, the Ducks set the tone taking a 28-10 lead into the half. Dillon Gabriel has been outstanding this year, throwing for 1,1192 yards, 9 touchdowns and only 1 interception.
