ESPN’s FPI is back with more predictions for the week ahead in championship weekend.

The Oregon Ducks and Penn State Nittany Lions square off in the B1G Championship Game as both teams have all but clinched a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Both of these teams are looking for a conference championship, and the winner of this game has a good chance of being the No. 1 seed in the CFP. The Ducks with a win would lock up the No. 1 spot, while the Nittany Lions will need a win and probably a Texas loss to Georgia to grab the top spot.

ESPN’s FPI is giving the Nittany Lions a 51% chance to win this game, leaving the Ducks as the slightest of underdogs with a 49% chance to win.

The Ducks have been the No. 1-ranked team for the second half of the season, as they are the only team from a Power-4 conference that is still undefeated. Oregon completed the undefeated regular season with a 49-21 win in the season finale against Washington.

Quarterback Dillon Gabriel was a big acquisition in the transfer portal, and he delivered with a huge season. He threw for 3,275 yards and 24 touchdowns on the year, while also rushing for another 7 scores.

The Nittany Lions are led by the most versatile tight end in all of college football in Tyler Warren. He has 81 catches for 928 yards and 6 touchdowns on the season, but he gives the Nittany Lions so much more. He has had at least 32 rushing yards in 3 of Penn State’s last 5 games, including 63 yards in a win against Purdue.

The best 2 teams in the B1G will collide in a 8:00 p.m. ET kickoff from Lucas Oil Stadium with the game aired on CBS.
