This week’s big primetime game on ABC comes in the way of a B1G crossover. The Penn State Nittany Lions host the Minnesota Golden Gophers in their annual whiteout game.

The Nittany Lions and the Gophers will look to get back on track after division losses. Minnesota lost at Illinois 26-14, while Penn State lost to Michigan in the Big House 41-17. Penn State is 5-1 on the season and 2-1 in B1G play, while Minnesota is 4-2 and 1-2 in conference play.

ESPN’s FPI gives the Nittany Lions a 62.5% chance of defeating the Golden Gophers in Happy Valley on Saturday night.

Both teams’ QBs would like better stat lines than their previous weeks’ performance. Penn State QB Sean Clifford was 7-of-19 for 120 yards and no touchdowns. He did carry the rock 6 times for 74 yards.

Minnesota’s QB Tanner Morgan was 4-of-12 for 21 yards and an interception. He was carted off the field due to an injury. Morgan has not been ruled out of Saturday’s game.

Both teams need a win in hopes of keeping in their division races so they can end up in Indy with a chance at the B1G trophy.

Penn State hosts Minnesota at 7:30 ET on ABC Saturday.
