The B1G East is seeing some significant changes in ESPN’s latest FPI after Week 4 of the 2022 season.

Rutgers suffered its first loss of the 2022 season while Michigan State suffered its second loss of the season and first loss in B1G play.

The impact of Week 4 of the season will on to the rest of the season for the B1G East and will help determine the winner of the division.

Here’s how the FPI predictions for B1G Eastern Divisional race is shaping up after Week 4:

  • Ohio State – 69%
  • Michigan – 18.5%
  • Penn State – 11.7%
  • Maryland – 0.6%
  • Michigan State – 0.2%
  • Indiana – 0.0%
  • Rutgers – 0.0%

Ohio State clearly has the best chance to win the B1G East with Michigan and Penn State having legitimate shots to knock the heavily projected winner. Maryland and Michigan State still have some hope to the division despite low odds and tough losses. Indiana and Rutgers are at the bottom end of the barrel of the East.
