ESPN's FPI ranks hardest remaining schedules: B1G has Top 3, five in Top 10
Most teams have played eight games through this point in the season. With that in mind, just four games in November remain before conference championships take place.
So, which teams have the easiest road ahead? Which have the most daunting schedules?

ESPN’s FPI updated its strength of schedule ratings for the rest of the season and take a guess at how the Big Ten fared here. To keep it simple, the B1G has three teams with the hardest schedules in the country left to play.
It also has five in the top 10. Oh, and that’s not all. Eight Big Ten teams make up the top 19 hardest schedules the rest of the way.
The FPI thinks highly of the B1G. Here’s the top 19 to give some perspective:
- Minnesota
- Rutgers
- Maryland
- Kansas
- Oklahoma
- Michigan
- Colorado
- Missouri
- Arizona
- Nebraska
- USC
- California
- LSU
- Wisconsin
- Texas
- Georgia
- South Carolina
- Iowa
- Indiana
Again, eight B1G teams make up the top 19. There are four SEC teams in there and one in the top 10. Take from that what you will.
All we know is that Minnesota, Rutgers and Maryland are about to embark on a tough road ahead. The Golden Gophers, just as an example, have to face three ranked teams all in the top 19 of the latest AP top 25 poll in the next month.
Good luck, Minnesota.
