ESPN’s FPI tool has updated its odds for the Big Ten Championship after Week 3.

Currently, the model gives four teams at least a 2 percent chance of winning the Big Ten.

Here’s how it breaks down:

  • Ohio State: 65.1 percent
  • Wisconsin: 29.4 percent
  • Northwestern: 2.7 percent
  • Indiana: 2.4 percent

Ohio State and Indiana are currently tied for the lead at 3-0 in the Big Ten East. The Buckeyes only have two ranked games remaining on their schedule — including the Hoosiers — and both are at home.

Indiana has survived a difficult schedule to this point in the season by getting upset wins over Penn State and Michigan. However, the Hoosiers still have to play on the road at Ohio State and Wisconsin.

In the other division, Wisconsin has only played one game so far this season. However, if the Badgers run the table and get to 6-0, they will be the representative for the West in the Big Ten Championship Game. But if Wisconsin misses another game due to COVID-19, it will be ineligible for a division title.

Northwestern has been impressive so far in 2020, specifically on defense. The Wildcats haven’t allowed a second-half point all season long and have wins over Maryland, Iowa and Nebraska.
