ESPN’s FPI is updating the outlook for the B1G Championship picture after a wild Week 4. The conference race continues to shape up into a 3-team race though a couple of other teams could make things interesting.

Though Ohio State’s game against Notre Dame did not impact the B1G standings, the win by the Buckeyes kept the team undefeated and showed Ryan Day’s squad can be road warriors. It is also the biggest one for the B1G this season.

Behind Ohio State, James Franklin’s Penn State team is given the second-best shot to win the conference title at nearly 30%. Michigan — back-to-back league champions — are given just a 10% shot of making it a 3-peat.

Behind those 3 favorites, Wisconsin is the B1G West team with the best shot at capturing the in Indianapolis with Iowa’s odds listed but falling.

Here are the current B1G title favorites per the FPI:

  • Ohio State — 47.8%
  • Penn State — 27.6%
  • Michigan — 10.1%
  • Wisconsin — 9.8%
  • Iowa — 2.5%

While Ohio State and Penn State have hopped Michigan, the Wolverines have been the betting favorites in the Big Ten Championship odds to open the season. It’s unclear if that will shift barring a loss for the Wolverines, but it is clear Jim Harbaugh’s squad has serious competition.
