ESPN’s FPI is updating the B1G Championship outlook through Week 6 of the season, and the system sees a tightening race for the league title at this point of the schedule.

At the top of the system, Ohio State is still the overwhelming favorite with better than a 40% chance of winning B1G this season. However, the Buckeyes did see their odds drop a bit as we enter Week 7.

Meanwhile, Michigan has since catapulted back into second place in those odds after a dominant road win over Minnesota. The Wolverines are now ahead of Penn State in regard to the FPI’s odds of winning the B1G though both teams are over 20%.

Wisconsin remains the only B1G West program with a realistic shot per the FPI while Iowa has near-microscopic odds at this point in the season. Here are the odds to win the B1G title entering Week 7:

  • Ohio State — 41.8%
  • Michigan — 22.2%
  • Penn State — 21.6%
  • Wisconsin — 10.5%
  • Iowa — 3.2%

While that is the FPI outlook for the league title, Michigan remains the betting favorite on the Big Ten Championship odds entering Week 7. Ohio State and Penn State trail the Wolverines, though those 3 teams must all face one another down the road. Fans can head to BetMGM to get in on the B1G title odds!

For now, Penn State comes off a bye for a Week 7 nonconference matchup against UMass. Michigan will continue B1G play against Indiana while Ohio State gears up to face Purdue.
