ESPN’s FPI has updated the B1G Championship odds through Week 8 of the 2023 college football season, and there has been a bit of a shakeup as teams across the conference prepare to head through the back half of the season.

After the contests of the week, Ohio State saw a major surge, while Michigan jumped Penn State. Wisconsin and Iowa are the B1G West programs still in the mix, though by a small margin per the FPI.

The Buckeyes come off of a 20-12 victory over the Nittany Lions in a game that was a bit closer than originally anticipated and are in the driver’s seat here by a margin of over 20%, something Michigan will look to change over time as it comes off of a 49-0 shutout of Michigan State.

  • Ohio State — 54.7%
  • Michigan — 31.6%
  • Penn State — 5.7%
  • Wisconsin — 4.4%
  • Iowa — 3.2%

Here’s a look at how those compare to last week’s:

  • Ohio State — 40.5%
  • Penn State — 25.2%
  • Michigan — 24.5%
  • Iowa — 7.3%
  • Wisconsin — 2%

It will be interesting to watch how these things change as time goes on with a full slate of competitive matchups across the Week 9 schedule.

While that is the FPI outlook, Michigan remains the betting favorite to capture another title in the Big Ten Championship odds. Interested fans can get in on the action with Tradition’s unique BetMGM Ohio promo code or BetMGM Michigan promo code!
