ESPN's FPI updates odds to win B1G East following Week 6
The race to Indianapolis is starting to take shape as we hit Week 7 of the college football season.
Inside the B1G, the divisional races are intriguing, though for separate reasons. In the B1G West, Iowa remains well-positioned moving forward. A win over Purdue would only improve the already great odds for the Hawkeyes.

The B1G East, however, continues to be a log jam at the top, even with Penn State’s loss to Iowa. Michigan, Michigan State, and Ohio State are all undefeated in conference play while the Nittany Lions have just 1 conference loss. All 4 teams have yet to play one another.
Ahead of Week 7 action, ESPN’s FPI has updated the odds to win the B1G East. For now, the FPI still sees a two-horse race between the Buckeyes and Wolverines to get to Indy.
Here are the odds:
- Ohio State – 56.3%
- Michigan – 28.0%
- Michigan State – 9.9%
- Penn State – 5.8%
Penn State, Ohio State, and Michigan are all idle in Week 7 while Michigan State will travel to face Indiana. The Spartans will try to keep their record unblemished before a bye in Week 8.
