It’s never too early to look ahead!

Week 1 in the B1G is already behind us with teams prepping and working on getting ready for Week 2. There is one B1G game on the schedule with Iowa-Rutgers, but every other team is still waiting to begin conference play. Still, it’s always a good time to wonder what may play out this season!

After just one week of action, ESPN’s FPI has updated the odds for teams to win their conference. When it comes to the B1G, Penn State actually leads the way at 33.6%.

It is certainly surprising with the youth for Penn State at some key positions, including at quarterback with Sean Clifford taking over the reins this year. Still, the Nittany Lions were nearly flawless in the rout of Idaho.

Here are the 5 teams with the best shot to win the conference, according to the FPI:

  • Penn State – 33.6%
  • Michigan – 24.8%
  • Wisconsin – 12.7%
  • Ohio State – 8.9%
  • Iowa – 8.6%
