Despite three of the top-ranked teams in the B1G not playing in Week 7, there was a huge impact in the race for the B1G Championship and the College Football Playoff. Purdue shocked another No. 2 ranked team in the nation in the Iowa Hawkeyes with a 24-7 score.

Only two ranked B1G teams played this past Saturday. No. 10 Michigan State was another team that almost fell victim to an unranked B1G team. Michigan State survived a tough road trip 20-15 to Indiana.

After Week 7’s games, ESPN’s FPI has updated its odds to win the B1G this season. Six teams have a 3% or higher chance to win the conference. Three teams have a 17% or higher chance to win the conference.

Here is how the FPI is seeing the odds to win the B1G:

  • Ohio State – 46.1%
  • Michigan – 20%
  • Iowa – 17.1%
  • Michigan State – 6.9%
  • Penn State – 3.7%
  • Minnesota – 3%

All the other teams in the B1G are given less than a 2% chance to win the conference. Eventually, in the upcoming weeks, the B1G will feature multiple matchups that include undefeated or one-loss teams.
