ESPN’s FPI updates odds to win B1G following Week 7
Week 7 yielded plenty of key results with the conference race now squarely in focus.
With one half of the regular season totally in the books, the contenders to meet in Indianapolis for the B1G Championship Game are starting to set themselves apart.
In the B1G West, undefeated Wisconsin has a firm grip on the division. The Badgers still have to face Iowa, Ohio State, and Minnesota. But with Iowa suffering its second conference loss of the season, the division will likely rest on a season-ending rivalry game between Wisconsin and Minnesota.

In the B1G East, Penn State and Ohio State are on a collision course for the division with Michigan still lurking behind them. The Nittany Lions and Wolverines will face off in Week 8 while Ohio State must face Wisconsin, Penn State, and Michigan before the end of the regular season.
Coming out of Week 7, ESPN’s FPI has updated the odds to win the B1G. Though Michigan is still alive in the race after a scare from Illinois, the FPI is still predicting a three-team race for the conference. Undefeated Minnesota still has yet to make much headway on the FPI.
Here are the odds to win the B1G:
- Ohio State – 54.5%
- Wisconsin – 31.4%
- Penn State – 11.4%
No other team is currently given more than a 1% chance to win the conference. Minnesota is next on the FPI with 0.9% odds.
