ESPN's FPI updates odds to win national championship following Week 13
The matchups are set for Championship Weekend with teams getting ready to put the finishing touches on the season. The race for the College Football Playoff is just about wrapped up, but some key results could swing things in a variety of ways.
In the SEC, Georgia and Alabama square off with many wondering if the SEC gets 1 or 2 teams in the final CFP field. ESPN’s Playoff Predictor has Georgia as a near-lock to make the Playoffwhile a second loss would likely be enough to keep Alabama out.
Undefeated Cincinnati should be in with a win in the AAC title game, and the same goes for Michigan. With just one loss and idle for Championship Weekend, Notre Dame still lurks just outside the top 4.
Coming out of Rivalry Week, ESPN’s FPI has updated the odds to win the national championship, and it is currently Georgia’s race to lose. The Bulldogs currently have better than 50% odds to win the title with every other team below 20%.
Here is how the national title odds look, per the FPI:
- Georgia – 52.7%
- Alabama – 17.3%
- Michigan – 11.9%
- Cincinnati – 6.8%
- Notre Dame – 6.3%
Every other team is below 4% odds to win the title.
