Even though they haven’t played a game yet, four teams from the B1G are included in ESPN’s latest power rankings. The four-letter network updated its rankings on Sunday following Week 5 action.

Upsets were once again the story on Saturday, with six teams ranked in the Associated Press Top 25 falling to unranked opponents. Because of the crazy weekend, there are three SEC teams listed in the Top 10, as well as three from the ACC. Two B1G teams cracked the Top 10, as well as one AAC team and one Big 12 squad.

Below is the Top 10 from ESPN’s latest power rankings:

  1. Alabama Crimson Tide (2-0)
  2. Ohio State Buckeyes (0-0)
  3. Clemson Tigers (3-0)
  4. Georgia Bulldogs (2-0)
  5. Florida Gators (2-0)
  6. Notre Dame Fighting Irish (2-0)
  7. Penn State Nittany Lions (0-0)
  8. Miami Hurricanes (3-0)
  9. Cincinnati Bearcats (3-0)
  10. Oklahoma State Cowboys (3-0)

Two more B1G teams cracked the Top 25. Wisconsin came in at No. 12, behind Oregon which was at No. 11. Rounding out the B1G’s representation in the latest power rankings was Michigan, coming in at No. 19.

The two notable omissions are Iowa and Minnesota, after both teams finished last season with double-digit win totals.
