ESPN’s SP+ predicts every B1G Week 2 game
By Paul Harvey
Published:
We are entering Week 2 of the B1G schedule, but not every game will be played this weekend.
Unfortunately, Wisconsin has paused all football activities due to COVID-19 positives within the program. Those positives include head coach Paul Chryst with the status of Saturday’s game against Nebraska being moved to a no-contest.
For now, the rest of the Week 2 slate is scheduled to go off without a hitch. That includes a Friday showdown between Minnesota and Maryland. Michigan and Michigan State will also square off in their bitter rivalry with a trophy up for grabs while Ohio State and Penn State square off in a highly-anticipated matchup.
As we head into the second half of the week, ESPN’s Bill Connelly unveiled the SP+ picks for the weekend. Here is how the system is predicting every Week 2 B1G game:
- Minnesota 36, Maryland 22
- Michigan State 13, Michigan 32
- Purdue 32, Illinois 24
- Indiana 32, Rutgers 19
- Northwestern 20, Iowa 22
- Ohio State 34, Penn State 24
