Despite two Big Ten games canceled this weekend, (including Michigan-Ohio State), there’s still a good slate of games currently on the schedule with some big storylines.

Penn State is trying to win their last three games of the season after starting out 0-5 for the first time in program history. They get Michigan State this weekend who is 2-4 after losing to Ohio State.

Northwestern is also trying to finish strong even though the Wildcats have clinched their spot in the Big Ten title game. They get Illinois who is coming off a loss to Iowa.

Speaking of Iowa, the Hawkeyes are trying to finish their season 6-2 against Wisconsin. A win would give Kirk Ferentz and company a six-game winning streak after starting the season 0-2.

Here is how ESPN’s SP+ believes all of the Big Ten games will shake out this weekend:

  • Northwestern 30, Illinois 17
  • Nebraska 34, Minnesota 30
  • Maryland 33, Rutgers 20
  • Penn State 31, Michigan State 14
  • Wisconsin 24, Iowa 21

There’s a lot to take in with some of these results, including the Wisconsin-Iowa game. ESPN’s SP+ has Iowa going down to the Badgers by three points, even though Iowa has been playing better football of late. It also has Penn State and Northwestern winning in lopsided fashion over their opponents.

This is shaping up to be quite the weekend for the Big Ten.
