ESPN’s SP+ predicts final score for every Rivalry Week game

ESPN’s SP+ has predicted the final score of every college football game throughout the year. Now, the system is predicting the final score of every game over Rivalry Weekend.
In the B1G, that includes a massive matchup in The Game between top 3 opponents. Michigan and Ohio State will duke it out for the B1G East with the winner likely having an inside path to the No. 2 seed in the College Football Playoff.
While that will be the biggest matchup, the conference is not short on intriguing rivalries. PJ Fleck will try to lead Minnesota to back-to-back wins against Wisconsin in the quest for Paul Bunyan’s Axe. On the other side of the rivalry, Jim Leonhard gets his first crack at the Axe since taking over for the Badgers.
Purdue will also try to end the year on a high note in the Old Oaken Bucket game against Indiana while Iowa gets a shot to clinch the B1G West in a Black Friday Heroes Game against Nebraska.
Here is how the SP+ sees every game:
- Nebraska 9, Iowa 29
- Michigan 22, Ohio State 28
- Rutgers 16, Maryland 36
- Illinois 30, Northwestern 5
- Minnesota 22, Wisconsin 17
- Purdue 36, Indiana 27
- Michigan State 17, Penn State 41
