ESPN’s SP+ is predicting the final score for the Week 7 slate of college football, and that includes an Illinois vs. Maryland matchup. The two teams are trending in opposite directions, and the Terrapins have an extra edge being at home.

According to the SP+, Mike Locksley’s Maryland program will have a 75% win probability for the game with a projected final score of 30-19 in favor of the Terrapins. Maryland hits the game as a 14-point favorite, and fans can take part in the action with the DraftKings Maryland promo code.

The game is a big one for Maryland as the Terps try to bounce back from a disappointing road loss to Ohio State. The good news is Maryland is 3-0 at home with all 3 wins coming by double digits.

Saturday also presents the Terrapins with a golden opportunity to secure bowl eligibility for a third straight season. That is something the program has not achieved in a long time, and this year’s team has a chance to be one of the best in recent memory.

On the other side of the ball, Illinois is 1-4 in its last 5 games played and is winless in Power 5 games. The Illini are currently 0-2 on the road with both losses coming by 11+ points.

We’ll see how this one plays out, but it’s looking like a rough road ahead for Illinois.
