ESPN’s SP+ has predicted the final score for every game across college football in Week 4. That includes a B1G East matchup between Maryland and Michigan State in East Lansing.

Mike Locksley brings his Terrapin squad into the game on a 3-0 start to the season. Taulia Tagovailoa and the offense will look to keep that start rolling.

On the other side of the matchup, interim head coach Harlon Barnett is trying to rally the Spartans during a tumultuous year. Head coach Mel Tucker has received notice that he will be fired by cause, so Michigan State is likely to finish the year out with Barnett at the helm.

Heading into that matchup, Maryland is over a touchdown favorite at -7.5 for the game. Bill Connelly’s SP+ model does expect the Terrapins to win, but the system does not have Maryland covering that number.

According to the SP+, Maryland is projected to win by a final score of 27-21. At the end of the day, any win for Maryland in a B1G road game would be a good one. Interested fans can also get in on the odds with our unique DraftKings Maryland promo code!

During his weekly press conference, Maryland coach Mike Locksley admitted he’s expecting Michigan State’s best shot this weekend. Though the Spartans have been through a lot, Locksley knows any team is liable to circle the wagons with their backs against the wall.
