It didn’t take long for the first ever early signing period to get rolling. Several prospects had already signed on the dotted line before most people had their morning coffee.
Coaches were up early and ready to go, though, welcoming in those signatures once the clock hit 7 a.m.

Yeah, it’s safe to say the first day of the early signing period was really busy. And it was a little bit busier for those head coaches.
On Wednesday, Big Ten Network met up with coaches from each program to talk about their recruiting classes.
Here’s what each coach out of the B1G West had to say:
Illinois head coach Lovie Smith

Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz

Minnesota head coach P.J. Fleck

Nebraska head coach Scott Frost

Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald

Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm

Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst
