FOX’s college football games are off to a hot start this season with the return of fans to stadiums.
Wisconsin-Notre Dame was the most-watched game of the day on Saturday as it had 5,369,000 viewers and that’s up 20% from 2019’s Big Ten Saturday average on FOX.
Through 4 weeks, college football is off to its best start ever on FOX as they’ve been averaging just over 4.1M viewers per game. That’s up 30% from their broadcasts through the first 4 weeks from 2019 as those averaged a little over 3.7M viewers.

As said above, the return of fans to stadiums is likely helping this in a big way. People will always watch their teams no matter what, but the casual college football fan will likely tune into more games that have fans at the stadiums than not.
With some big matchups coming up (Penn State-Iowa, Maryland-Iowa), it’s only going to continue to get better for the network.
