One game-changing offensive talent is on the move Sunday after re-entering the transfer portal.

Arik Gilbert is a former five-star recruit for LSU in the class of 2020. He posted 35 catches for 368 yards and two touchdowns as a true freshman this past season. After the year ended, he announced he was entering the transfer portal and eventually committed to Florida.

On Sunday, Gilbert revealed a change of heart, decommitting from the Gators and announcing he will re-enter the portal. He also revealed he will not reveal his final destination until he is enrolled and on campus.

Gilbert was rated as the top tight end nationally and top overall prospect out of Georgia for the 2020 class by the 247 Sports Composite Rankings. He was also rated the No. 5 player nationally for the cycle.

Gilbert held a host of Power 5 offers out of high school, but the early signs of his decision to attend LSU and initially commit to Florida as a transfer appear to indicate he is looking to remain in the southeast. He should have plenty of offers even with his change of heart to not stick with the Gators.
