Fans are taking jabs at Vince Vaughn as the celebrity guest picker on College GameDay
One of the College GameDay’s changes in 2020 is the celebrity guest picker providing their selections remotely, instead of joining the crew on-site as they have done in the past.
Making his first appearance on the show since 2012, actor Vince Vaughn, a Minneapolis native known for his roles in Dodgeball (2004) and Wedding Crashers (2005), filled this role on Saturday with the GameDay crew stationed at TCF Bank Stadium for the battle between the No. 18 Michigan Wolverines and No. 21 Minnesota Golden Gophers at 7:30 p.m. ET.
To put it mildly, many fans of the show were ruthless discussing his appearance on social media.

Former Wake Forest Demon Deacons point guard Chris Paul was College GameDay’s first guest picker of the season on September 12, followed by Caddyshack star Bill Murray on September 19, ESPN personality Stugotz on September 26, actor Omari Hardwick on October 3, 14-time Major League Baseball All-Star Alex Rodriguez, who was recruited by the Miami Hurricanes to play quarterback, on October 10, and ex-Alabama Crimson Tide and current Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry on October 17.
While fans were quick to take their jabs at Vaughn, he will have the last laugh if his picks end up vaulting him to the top of the celebrity guest picker leaderboard.
