Fight breaks out between fans in stands during NEC Championship

The Northeast Conference Tournament Championship is being decided Tuesday night between Wagner and Bryant. That game has been all Bryant, but it was an ugly scene in the stands that stole the spotlight.
One of the somewhat unique aspects of the NEC Tournament is that the higher-ranked seeds receive homecourt advantage throughout the tournament. That meant Bryant was playing in front of its home crowd for the championship.
At halftime, the Bulldogs had built a 38-12 lead and was in control late in the game. With under 5 minutes to go, Bryant had the lead at 68-32 when things got out of hand.
It is hard to determine what exactly started the altercation but a fight broke out in the stands between Wagner and Bryant fans behind Wagner’s bench. Players can be seen visibly upset but it is unclear if any players ever left the court.

No fans appear to be leaving. Both teams in respective locker rooms. Wagner’s bench – the actual seats – are piled up at mid-court. ESPN 2.
