The first round of the NFL Draft was definitely an exciting one for many teams and players.

For Northwestern, the Wildcats made program history with two players – Rashawn Slater and Greg Newsome II – becoming first-round picks. That is the first time ever two Northwestern players were selected in the first round of the same draft.

For Michigan DL Kwity Paye, he had his own memorable moment after being selected by the Indianapolis Colts. On live television, Paye discussed the opportunity to retire his mother after her years of hard work.

After becoming first-round picks, these players are all about to be wealthy young men. Top overall pick Trevor Lawrence is projected to make over $36 million on his rookie contract to go along with a signing bonus of over $24 million. The signing bonus for Justin Fields, the top player taken from the B1G, is projected at $11,085,058.
