Michigan will compete for a national championship.

On Saturday night, the Wolverines posted a convincing 42-3 victory over Iowa in the B1G Championship Game to improve to 12-1 on the year and add the title “conference champion” to their name. On Sunday, Jim Harbaugh’s squad was rewarded.

Michigan will be the third B1G team to compete in the College Football Playoff, joining Ohio State and Michigan State. The Wolverines were ranked No. 2 on Sunday. They will play Georgia in the semifinal round in the Orange Bowl.
