A pair of former B1G quarterbacks on both ends of the age spectrum will make history on Sunday when they square off.

The matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Tom Brady (44) and the Chicago Bears’ Justin Fields (22) will be a new record for the widest age gap for starting quarterbacks in an NFL game.

This season, the ageless wonder Brady has amassed 2,064 yards, 17 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions through 6 games. Meanwhile, through 6 games, the rookie Fields has been up and down with 632 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions.

During the week, Brady took a shot at Ohio State’s QB production in the NFL. It will be interesting to see if that provides any juice for Fields in the contest.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion Brady spent four seasons at Michigan before famously not getting drafted until the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft.

The Bears selected Fields with the 11th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Fields was a second-team All-American in 2019 at Ohio State.
