Some people have shifted their focus to the hardwood and college basketball is getting into the meat of its schedule. For the Big Ten, the remainder of the games prior to the NCAA Tournament in March will all feature two B1G teams pitted against each other.
On Monday, the latest AP top 25 poll was released:
- Gonzaga
- Duke
- Kansas
- Baylor
- Auburn
- Butler
- San Diego State
- Michigan State
- Oregon
- Florida State
- Ohio State
- Maryland
- Louisville
- Kentucky
- Dayton
- Villanova
- West Virginia
- Virginia
- Michigan
- Penn State
- Memphis
- Texas Tech
- Wichita State
- Arizona
- Colorado
There are now five B1G teams in the top 25 as opposed to six. Iowa was ranked No. 23 in last week’s poll and fell out of the top 25 for this week. The Hawkeyes received the most votes of any team outside the top 25, however, essentially being considered as the No. 26 team in the country.
Michigan State, Maryland and Penn State each rose in the rankings from a week ago, while Ohio State and Michigan fell.
