Dan Mullen isn’t afraid to say it, he’s hoping the University of Florida opens the gates for everyone at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium next weekend when LSU comes to Gainesville.

Saturday, No. 4 Florida suffered a heartbreaking 41-38 loss to No. 21 Texas A&M at Kyle Field in College Station. Mullen said the crowd noise and attendance for the Week 3 matchup was a huge factor in the contest, and now wants his university to allow a full capacity crowd next weekend.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has lifted capacity restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic. That would allow the University of Florida to seat a capacity crowd at The Swamp next weekend, if that was the decision it wanted to make.

Below are some of Mullen’s quotes following Florida’s loss to Texas A&M:

The SEC has allowed its member schools and states to regulate crowd attendance this season. Almost all schools are allowing fans in some capacity, though every stadium has experienced some restrictions.

It seems unlikely that Florida would allow a capacity crowd next weekend, but it is a possibility.
