Florida's attempt at a trick play ends in disaster
One of the top non-conference rivalries in college football the Sunshine Showdown between Florida and Florida State. The winner of these games used to compete for a spot in the National Championship game, but this year’s winner becomes bowl eligible.
One play after an interception from Florida State quarterback McKenzie Milton, Florida called for a flea-flicker where quarterback Emory Jones threw a terrible interception down the middle of the field.
Jones was not fooling any one of the Seminoles’ defenders with the play and the throw that was obvious.

In the following drive, Jones threw another interception, which allowed Florida State to take that seven-play, 68-yard drive for a touchdown. The game is tied up 7-7 with 6:45 left in the second quarter.
