Former Alabama and Florida State wide receiver Malik Benson has decided on Oregon as his new home.

Benson entered the transfer portal after the NCAA granted waivers for 2025 eligibility to JUCO transfers in response to a preliminary injunction granted to Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia.

Benson spoke to ESPN about his decision. He pointed to the opportunity to play with Dante Moore.

In 2023, Benson had 13 catches for 162 yards and 1 touchdown at Alabama. This past season, he nearly doubled his receptions to 25 catches for 311 yards and 1 score.

Before playing Power 4 football, Benson had a standout JUCO career. He broke the Hutchinson Community College record with 2,152 receiving yards over 2 seasons and ranked second in program history with 21 receiving TDs.
