Former college football head coach, B1G assistant Stan Parrish dies at 75
Former college football head coach and B1G assistant Stan Parrish has died. He was 75.
Parrish was the head coach at Wabash College (Indiana), Marshall, Kansas State and Ball State during his career, which spanned over 40 years. He also had several stops as an assistant coach.
Parrish’s first job in the college ranks came at Purdue, where he was a graduate assistant from 1975-76. He became the head coach at Wabash in 1978 after spending one year with the Little Giants as an assistant.
Wabash was dominant under Parrish, posting a 42-3-1 record over that five-year period. His teams won at least 8 games every season and had a 10-0 campaign in 1982.

Parrish also had stops at Rutgers (1990-95) and Michigan (1996-2001). He was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at both stops.
Parrish’s final season was in 2013, when he was the offensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach and interim head coach at Eastern Michigan.
