Jake Rudock may get another chance at an NFL roster this season.
The quarterback who played at both Iowa and Michigan during his B1G career has not seen much action in the NFL, appearing in limited action during the 2017 season. That action came when Rudock was a member of the Detroit Lions.
However, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Wednesday that Rudock is getting a workout with the Chicago Bears following an injury to Mitch Trubisky:
With Mitch Trubisky expected to miss time, per @MikeGarafolo, the #Bears are bringing in QBs Jake Rudock and Kyle Sloter for a workout, per the transaction wire.

The Bears have certainly had inconsistent results at quarterback this season between Trubisky and Nick Foles, but the tryout appears to be connected to the injury and not the performance issues.
Rudock played for the Hawkeyes from 2013-14 and one season at Michigan in 2015. He finished his college career with over 7,800 yards passing, 54 TD’s, and 27 interceptions.
