Hailing from Prattville, Alabama, running back Kingston Davis has plenty of potential as a football player. He is a former Michigan Wolverine, after-all, and not everybody gets a chance to play football in the Big Ten — much less in Ann Arbor.

Davis has potential as a college football running back, but he unfortunately hasn’t really been able to show it during his career. It looked like his third college football stop — at UAB — could ultimately be the right fit for him, but it’s being reporting that UAB has suspended the running back. As far as when he could return to the field for the Blazers, that’s up in the air as well, because the suspension is indefinite.

The reason behind the suspension? A student conduct issue. Here’s a statement from the school, as passed on by College Football Talk. It appears Kingston’s return to the field will be pending an investigation:

Kingston Davis has been placed on interim suspension from UAB pending a student conduct investigation. Due to federal student privacy laws, the institution cannot disclose details at this time.

Davis was part of Michigan’s 2016 class as a three-star running back recruit but did not end up seeing the field much for the Wolverines, so he decided to transfer to Independence (Kan.) Community College for his second season. The 6-foot-1, 245 pound back spent one season with Independence, rushing for only 37 yards in seven games, before making the transfer for UAB.

Unfortunately, this suspension couldn’t come at a worse time for Davis, because he was finally starting to flash his talent. He finally found his stride for the Blazers, having rushed for 88 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries for the team.
