Former Pac-12 head coach pursuing legal action after firing

Former Washington State coach Nick Rolovich is planning to sue the school for “illegal termination” after being fired due to not getting vaccinated, according to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg.
Rolovich is reportedly accusing Washington State AD Pat Chun of “discriminatory and vindictive behavior” for his firing.

The state of Washington required all secondary and higher education personnel to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by Oct. 18. Rolovich was seeking an exemption.
In his two seasons at Washington State, Rolovich has amassed an overall record of 5-6 (4-5 in Pac-12 play).
Prior to arriving at Washington State, Rolovich was the head coach of Hawaii from 2016 to 2019. In that time span, Rolovich posted an overall record of 28-27 with a 15-17 record in Mountain West Conference play.
