Fuller rushed for 217 yards and scored three touchdowns for the Tigers in a national championship-winning 2016 season, including a score against Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl semifinal and a pivotal kickoff return in the title game against Alabama that provided the spark for a game-winning drive.
He began the 2017 season as the starter, but was surpassed on the depth chart by Week 4. He then left the program at the conclusion of the season; just not before earning a Bachelor’s degree.
“My brother I am hurting right now,” wrote former teammate Shaq Lawson on Instagram. “Somebody wake me up from this nightmare. My brother was supposed to come see me tomorrow. I love you bruh until we meet again.”
Our thoughts are with Fuller’s family and friends.
