Take a look at the most recent College Football Playoff rankings.
Four Big Ten schools are ranked in the top-eight – No. 2 Ohio State, No. 3 Michigan, No. 7 Wisconsin and No. 8 Penn State. Coaches have an impact on programs no matter the sport or level of competition, and it’s showing in the B1G this season.
The four coaches leading the aforementioned programs just received notice that they are George Munger Collegiate Coach of the Year Award semifinalists:

The Big Ten’s four representatives match the Pac-12 for the most of any conference. The question of whether or not the Southeastern Conference is the best conference in college football is always a topic of discussion.
As long as these four coaches stay in the B1G, the SEC may not be the automatic answer to that “best conference” question for long.
