FOX Sports college football analyst Joel Klatt has released his top 10 following the first week of the season.

Klatt, who mostly covers B1G, Big 12 and Pac-12 games while in the broadcast booth, revealed his top 10 teams with one week of football in the books. He’s got two B1G teams listed inside the top eight spots. He also includes three SEC squads, two Big 12 programs, one ACC and Pac-12 team and Notre Dame.

Here’s a look at Klatt’s rankings:

  1. Clemson
  2. Alabama
  3. Georgia
  4. Oklahoma
  5. Michigan
  6. Texas
  7. LSU
  8. Ohio State
  9. Notre Dame
  10. Utah

It was tough to make much movement in the rankings, as 24 of the 25 teams ranked in the AP Top 25 were victorious. The only loss was No. 11 Oregon, which fell to No. 16 Auburn.

We could see some major shifting next week, with two top 25 matchups — No. 12 Texas A&M vs. No. 1 Clemson and No. 6 LSU vs. No. 9 Texas. There are also more interesting matchups that involved unranked opponents — Army vs. No. 7 Michigan; Cincinnati vs. No. 5 Ohio State; Colorado vs. No. 24 Nebraska and No. 23 Stanford vs. USC, among others.
