FOX college football analyst RJ Young has tabbed three B1G players as potential breakout candidates for the 2022 season. They fell into his non-quarterback category.

Young included Michigan State running back Jalen Berger, Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and Michigan wide receiver Andrel Anthony as potential breakout candidates next fall. A total of 10 players in college football were mentioned on the list.

Below is the complete list from Young:

Berger transferred to Michigan State after spending the last two years at Wisconsin. In two seasons with the Badgers, the running back totaled 389 yards and 3 touchdowns in 7 games.

Harrison played a role in Ohio State’s offense in 2021 but wasn’t much of a target until the Rose Bowl Game, stepping in for Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson. In the win over Utah, the freshman hauled in 6 catches for 71 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Anthony had a similar impact as Harrison during the 2021 season at Michigan. The freshman was involved in the offense throughout the year, but his shining moment was in the loss to Michigan State. That afternoon, Anthony caught 6 passes for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Watching all three of these players next season should be a lot of fun.
