No. 1 Georgia defeated No. 3 Alabama 33-18 in the College Football Playoff National Title game in a rematch of the SEC Championship Game. The Tide got the best of the Dawgs 41-24 in Atlanta, GA.

The 2021-22 college football season has come to an end. Now awaits a long, dark offseason for B1G fans until next August when Nebraska takes on Northwestern in Dublin, Ireland.

All any college football fan can do is look at the final AP Poll or pundits’ way-too-early Top 25 rankings. Here is Fox analyst R.J. Young’s way-too-early Top 25 for the 2022 season.

In R.J. Young’s top 25 rankings, only 5 B1G teams make the cut.

  • No. 2 Ohio State
  • No. 5 Michigan
  • No. 10 Michigan State
  • No. 18 Iowa
  • No. 22 Purdue

Wisconsin fans may be a little perturbed that they did not make the list for the way-too-early Top 25 rankings. There will be many early Top 25 rankings that come throughout the year but everyone will argue all offseason until all the games kick off on that opening weekend in September.
