Alabama is at the top of the recruiting rankings pretty much every year. If you ever had any doubt about that, one graphic shared by FOX Sports recently shows just how dominant the Crimson Tide have been in that department over the last decade.

Over the last 10 years, Alabama has signed the nation’s top-ranked recruiting class eight times, according to 247Sports. The other two years, Georgia landed the No. 1 class.

Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide landed the top-ranked recruiting class every year between 2012-17, then again in 2019 and 2021. Georgia won the recruiting title belt in 2018 and 2020. This season, Alabama signed the highest-rated class in history.

Strange that the Crimson Tide reach the College Football Playoff virtually every year, isn’t it?

The graphic is particularly intriguing because teams like Ohio State, Clemson, Oklahoma and Notre Dame have become frequent visitors in the College Football Playoff. You’d think that someone else would wiggle its way into the top spot at least somewhere down the road.

It hasn’t been the case, though.

We’ll have to keep an eye on the 2022 class and see if anyone in college football can dethrone Alabama from that top spot in the recruiting rankings.
